In the year 2002, pakigdait managed to convince the municipal council of Kauswagan and approved a resolution with a degree of permanency declaring March 17-21 as a Kauswagan Week of Peace and Pakigdait has been given an authority to lead the celebration with corresponding allotment of 50,000 pesos.
Recently, in the course of the RDCC consultation in relation to the crafting of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Republic Act No. 10121, known as an act strengthening the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System, pakigdait has managed to include in Rule 2 of the declaration of policy to ensure that the disaster risk reduction and climate change measures are culture responsive, interfaith sensitive and respectful of human rights
Reconciliation & Reconstruction of Conflict-affected Communities
•Construction 26 units of Core-Shelters that benefited 26 homeless-household IDPs of Munai, Baraason and Mindalano.
•Installed 3 units of Water hand-pump in Libertad, Tacub and Ceanuri
•Constructed 2 units of duplex-type of comfort room in Tacub and Ceanuri
•Constructed Safe Space for Children with child-friendly and educational toys / materials in Baraason
•Construction of Barangay Health Station & Day Care Center in Mindalano
Economic and Environmental
•Provided 3 units of “Bungsod” ( fish catch) to MUFA ( Muntay)
•Provided 4 units of fishingboats with nets to Libertad, Tacub and Poblacion
•Disbursed a sum amount of 150,000.00 as seed capital to 10 womens-led community organizations in KMT
•Provided 301 sacks of rice to Small Banisilon, Mentring and Baraason ( to be release 100 bags of rice for Mindalano)
•Provided 420 bags of fertilizer to Big Banisilon, Pagayawan and Imburnal & 111 gallons of organic-fertilizer in Baraason; ( to be release 200 gallons for Mindalano)
•Distributed 7 heads of working animals to Baraason, Pagayawan, Big banisilon
•Distributed plows and other farm tools, vermiworms with accumulative 3,600 has of communal gardens in KMT.
Emergency Response
•On Man-made calamity (Aug.18)
– a total of 4,987 families from KMT and Ceanuri received relief/support services
•On natural calamity
– a total of 198 victim families of storm surge from seven costal barangays of Kauswagan received non-food items.
