TOUR AT THE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST IN THE PHILIPPINES IN ILIGAN CITY

UCCP Pastor in Iligan City  warmly welcomes the delegates coming from the Interfaith Council and other organizations that seeking deeper understanding with the other faith as a way of achieving peace.

A lay or an elder of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines in Iligan City was explaining about the faith and their program for their believers and the society as a whole.

UCCP pastor receives the token given by IFC and Pakigdait with expression of joy. Musa Mohamad Sanguila extreme left wearing green shirt together with him was Sr. Carmen Hayrosa IFC Chairperson, Hon. Marlyn Young, City Councilor of Iligan City where the Chairman of the Committee on Peace and Order in the City Council and Lanao del Norte Board Member and Pastor Grecilke Matalines presented the gong token.

The UCCP pastor was so thankful for the initiatives initiated by the IFC and declared support for the quest for peace.

SEVEENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH PASTOR RECEIVED TOKEN FROM IFC

Sister Carmen Chairperson of the Interfaith Council through Pastor and Board Member Grecile Matalines presented a token to the Pastor of Seventh Day Adventist in Tibanga, Iligan City for its overwhelming support and welcome of the tour by sharing of their faith on December 2, 2010 in consonant with the Mindanao Week of Peace Celebration. From left was Mr. Musa Mohamad Sanguila, Director of Pakigdait Inc., followed by Sr. Carmen holding the microphone, then Board Member Matalines and next was Tito Natividad Fiel, Program Officer of Pakigdait Interfaith Grassroots peace Building Program and next was the Pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

SHARING OF FAITHS AT THE SDA

The Church-Masjied Educational Tour facilitated by the Interfaith Council and the Pakigdait Inc., has provided an opportunity for different faith to share each other formal of informal to establish better understanding and relationship that may the way to achieve peace as dream by everyone. This photo has taken during the visit at the SDA Church in Tibanga, Iligan City in line with the celebration of the Mindanao Week of Peace.

TOUR AT SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH

Group of selected singers of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tibanga, Iligan City December 2, 2010, welcomes the Interfaith Council, Pakigdait Inc., and other delegates for the Church-Masjied Educational Tour in line with the celebration of the Mindanao Week of Peace.  The singers amazed  the visitors for the great and wonderful welcome.

Uztadz Abdul Karim Ambhor from Islam shares some ideas on faith with a Christian Catholic believer Lorry Gabule of the Philippine Information Agency of Iligan City during the Church Masjied Tour at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Sr. Carmen Jayrosa of the Sisters of Mercy in Iligan City, currently chairperson of the Interfaith Council in Lanao del Norte expressed thanks to the Seventh Day Adventist Pastor, elders and members for the wonderful welcome and explanation all about the faith of the Seventh Day Adventist.

TOUR AT THE NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN CENTER

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN PASTOR EXPLAINS ABOUT THEIR FAITH AND THE WAY THEY PRAY USING MUSIC INSTRUMENTS PRAISING GOD. HE EXPLAINS THAT THEY ALSO ENCOURAGE YOUTH TO PLAY MUSIC INSTRUMENTS WITH GOD THAT IT WOULD BRING THEM AWAY FROM DRUGS AND OTHER RELATED PROBLEMS. HE WARMLY WELCOMED THE INTERFAITH AND OTHER DELEGATES FROM CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS
